DESERAGATION!!!!

Hey this is Sydni and I'm going to talk about deseragation. Today, I have lots of things to talk about today so lets get started. One more thing before we get stared do you know anything about desegregation ?

Voting!!

Back then white people tried to stop African Americans from voting but  African americans did not think that was fair at all. They tried to stop but it did not work. Also if African Americans tried to vote they  would get attacked .Another thing white people would do is they would threaten  African Americans .

Transportation!!!

Let's talk about how they got around . They road on busses but African America's had  to sit in the back with no servives ,but white people got sit in the front with excellent services.

Education


Black's and whites could not go to school toghther they had to go to diffrent schools , but white children had better things then African Americans Also white people had a better education than African Americans. I personaly don't think that is fair that white people had more freedom than black's .



Seperate was not equal!!!



People could not drink out of the same water fountain or they could not go to the same resturant , but of course white's resturants were better than African Americans. Well here is a picuture of  the diffrent water fountains.

PlessyVS. Ferguson.


Well this was a fight between Plessy and Ferguson. Plessy sued Ferguson becuase Plessy did not think desergation was right ,and I agree with Plessy. Also, Plessy got arrested for siting in a car for white people. So that is why Plessy sued Ferguson. Another thing is that Plessy really wanted to stop sergation,but Ferguson thought it was fair,and this fight went on for a couple of months. More people were trying to stop it.Well I just went on a field so I have to talk a little about that.


What I learned on my field trip!!!!

I just went to the Alanta History. I learned that if you were a soldier you did not have lot's of supply's Also if they got hurt they had field hospitals. Another thing I learned is that they had to sleep outside,and there were bugs ,and stuff. We'll let's move on !

What I liked and I didn't like!!!!


I liked the game, and how we watched  the little show.  I learned alot. What I did not like was when we had to crack the code. That part was not has fun ,but over all it was fun!!

What I  think about desergation.

I think desergation is not right. Also, I think white people and black people should be treated the same way. I dont think white people should have better things then black people. All  people should be treated the same way...........

EARTHQUAKE'S

Hey this is Sydni I'm going to talk about earthquakes today. Let"s get started. Do you know anything about earthquakes if you do great if you don't it is okay.

First, I'm going talk about the focus. The focus is were energy is released during a earthquake. Next I'm going to talk about a rector scale. A Rector scale is something that scientist use to see how much energy was released during an earthquake. Let's  talk about the epicenter. The epicenter is on the earth's surface. Next I'm going to talk  about the fault. The fault is a break in the earth's crust.



How does the movement of plates effect the strenth of earthquakes ?

Well they can bump into each other so they can either bump into to each other hard or soft. If they hit hard most likely it's going to be a big earthquake if it hit's softly it will not cuase as much damage. One more thing before we move on! Please look at the picture below.

What causes a earthquake?

The thing that causes a earthquake is when 2 or more boundaries meet. Also there could be a fault in the earth so that can also cause a earthquake. Also there are there are 3 movements. The three movements are collide, slide pass each other,and the last one is pulling apart from each other.Here is a picuture of the three movements . Another thing is if it rubs aggasint each other that can also cause a earthquake.

LAYERS OF THE EARTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey this is Sydni I am going to talk about  a lot a different things today. Well, first I'm going to talk  about the earths  layers.  The earth has 4 different layers  the crust,mantle,outer core and inner  core. The crust is the surface layer of the Earth.The Mantle has two parts; the upper mantle and the lower mantle. Most of the mantle is solid rock, but some mantle is soft rock. The outer core is hot liquid iron. The inner core is iron and nickel. Even though the core is very hot, great at the center of Earth keeps the inner core solid.

What causes the earth plates to move!!!!!!!!!!

 There are 10 major plates. Most of the North America, Greeland ,and part of  the Alantic Ocean. Now I guess I will talk about how plates move.Plates float on the softer rock of  the mantle .As the rock flows plates move becuase plates fit toghther so closely the movement of one plate affects other plates.





What is meant by Earth plates?
Earth's crust and uppermost mantle are divided into sections, called plates. Plates are blocks of crust and upper mantle rock that fit together like puzzle pieces.

circuits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey it's Sydni. Today, I'm going to talk about circuits. Have you ever heard about circuits? Well lets get started!!  First I'm going to talk about Series Circuits. A series circuit is when all the parts are connected ,and the current only has one path to follow . Also, the parts are connected one after the other in a single loop. Well I guess now I am going  to talk a little about  Parallel  Circuits. A parallel circuit is a close electric cricuit ,and it has two or more path ways to flow through.That's about it for this  part. Well now you know more about series circuits ,and parallel circuits so let's move on.

What parts make up an electrical circuit?

Some of the parts are a moter ,switch,lamp,cell, battery,resitor,variable resitor,volmeter,and a ameter. Now you can see a picuture of the synbols.






What are 2 advantages ?  Lets use the Light bulb as an example!!!!!

They will get a full batttery so they will be very bright.
They are in there own conducting loop so you can turn one bulb off without it affecting another.


Why do appliances include circuit digrams in their instructions?


The reasson is so that repair technicians can fix any problems the appliance may have.

CURRENT ELECTRICITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey this is sydni today i'm going to talk about current electricity.have you ever learned about current electricity.If you have that's awesome if you haven't that's okay because

Current electricity is when energy is stored when electrons move from one object to another and a static charge     builds up.Another thing about current electricity is when you see cords the rubber out side of the cords are called a insulator . A insulator is the rubber out side of the cords.Know I'm going to talk about conductor .A conductor is the metal part inside of cords.The conductor helps electrons flow in a path.

The rate at which electric  current flows is measured in amps.There are  many more amps in power lines that you need to operate the appliances in your home .

Now I'm going to talk about direct current and alternating current.well direct current is always going to go in one direction .Direct current involves batteries, fuel, cells,and solar cells.Alternating current is is a little bit different. Alternating current goes in one direction then switches and goes the other way. 

Now I'm going to talk a little about a generator and a little about a power plants. A generator is the electricity for the power plants.That;s basically it about the generator.Now let's move on to power plants.A power plant is electrical energy  is made in power plant's .Into electrical energy to make alternating current.

Now I'm going to tell you how do you get power in your house.There is two machines one is called a transformer , and the other is called transmission wires .A transformer is alternating current that goes from the power plant to a transformer where voltage is increased so it can travel across long distances ,and not loose much energy. A transmission is The high voltage alternating current will run along transmission wires 2 power plants.One is to increase ,and the other at  your home is to decreased .

The final thing is how are they different and how are they the same.They are different because one is dealing with conductors and insulator,and one is not.They are the same because they are both dealing with electricity.

Goodbye 2011 Hello 2012..

Happy New Years this is Sydni. How was your New Years? I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. I went on a cruise with my cousins to the Bahamas and KeyWest. The weather was about 73 so that was kinda cold. I loved the boat we could eat ice cream and junk food 24 hours .

My highlights of 2011!

I went on a cruise. 

I went to key west.

I passed 3rd grade.

What i got for Christmas.

I got a mac computer and I got a I pod and I got clothes and thats about it .

Well the thing  I'm looking forward to 2012.

Getting good grades .

Going to a new school and meeting new friends.

I start dance class.

Well i hope you enjoyed your christmas and your new year.

I hope you enjoyed the holidays but know i want to now what you got for christmas ?
