Rocks Rock!

Hey everybody how is everyone doing today ? well  LAST WEEK I TALKED ABOUT MOUNTAINS THIS WEEK I AM GOING TO TALK ABOUT ROCKS .

DIFFERENT TYPES OF ROCK. 

There are 3 categories one is called IGNEOUS the next  one is called SEDIMENTARY,and the last one is METAMORPHIC.  There are many different rocks ,but every rock  falls in one categories . 


WELL NOW I AM GOING TO TALK ABOUT HOW THEY FORM.
They all form different ways . A igneous rock forms underground .A sedimentary is formed from any rock that is worn down .

THIS IS A SEDMIDTARY  ROCK. LIMESTONE IS A TYPE OF SEDMIDARY ROCK AND IT FORMS IN THE OCEAN FROM SEASHELLS .


OMG MY FAVORITE ROCK OBSIDAN AND THAT IS A INGNEOUS ROCK. ALSO PUMICE IS A TYPE OF INGENOUS ROCK TO.





THIS A METAMORPHIC ROCK. ALSO GENIS IS A TYPE OF METAMORPHIC ROCK .

We have just a couple more things to talk about so let's move on .

Well the last thing for today is WHAT ARE ROCKS? Well  you have to remember that all rocks are made up of minerals. Also, rocks have a lot to do with things that we use everyday such as cell phones ,cars , and computers. A lot of things are made of granite and igneous rock such as mounuments and kitchen countertops.

MOUNTAINS ............

HEY  it is  Sydni here today.  I will be talking about mountains today.  How was your SPRING BREAK? Well we have ALOT of things to talk about so lets get started .........

Well at first I did not know much about mountains, but now I know a little bit more becuase Mr. Sellars taught me a whole lot about them....

HOW DO MOUNTAINS FORM.................

Mountains form many diffrent ways ...... Some form by subducting. Also did you know if one plate is lighter than the other the lightest one will go on top and the heaviest one will be forced aginst the mantel ... Also, when they are the same density they both crumble up, but neither off them go down to the mantel .........




HEY DID YOU EVER KNOW THAT THE ROCKY MOUNTAINS AND THE HIMALAYAS WERE FOLDED MOUNTAINS.... OMG THAT IS SO COOL...........

 MY FAVORITE MOUNTAIN IS THE HIMALAYAS, BECAUSE IT IS SO PRETTY. I HAVE NEVER BEEN THERE BUT I HAVE SEEN PICUTURES. I REALLY WANT TO GO FOR SOME REASON. I BET IT WOULD BE VERY HARD TO CLIMB THIS MOUNTAIN.

Folded mountains are formed from the collision of continental tectonic plates

Dome shaped mountains are formed just like volcanoes ,and obvisouly they are domed shaped.

DIFFERENT  WAYS MOUNTAINS FORM ... :)
No matter how they form they all take a process of million of years of growing.
They form many different ways obvisouly. Most of the major mountains form when 2 tectonic plates cfrash together.

SCINCE FAIR :]

Hey it is Sydni here I am going to talk about this years scince fair and last year scince fair.Every year we have scince fair ,but now ,and days people are banding scince fair .THAT IS KINDA SAD.

Scince fair is suppost to be fun not overwelming so that  is why you do it earlier NOT at the last minute .When you do at the last minute your board will look rushed ,and will not look presentable .
Last year I  did scince fair I did not win .Well, this year I will try to win .Also last year i started scince fair late,but this year I  did not .I really wont to win this year last .I think I am going to do
better this year because I am more experince . THIS YEAR I AM VERY EXCITED FOR SCINCE FAIR.I love scince so trhat is why I love scince fair.In scince fair you learn something new.

This  year I am doing it one WHY CAN YOU NOT  TASTE WHEN YOU HAVE A COLD.

I have learned so much from this project . Some things I learned are that girls have more tasste buds then  boys . Also I learned  that in  the back  are your better taste buds on the sides of your tongue it is sour and in the middle there are not so much  ,and in the front are your sweet taste buds .................

VOLCANOES ************

Hey it is Sydni here today I will be talking about volcanoes. Well first thing . What is a volcanoe?

A volcanoe is a mountain made up of lava, ash, or other materials from erupitions. Lava is molten rock beneath the surface.




You are probaly like are'nt magma and lava the same thing? Actually they are two difffrent things . Magma is formed when  plates subduct each other.




Well we have a lot more things to talk about so let's move on .


The three diffrent volcanoes.

The three volcanoes are shield volcanoe,cinder cone,and composite volcanoe .






Well ,we have just a little bit more to talk about so let's move on .


What causes a chain of volcanoes to form?

Well hot spots cause a chain of volcanoes to form . Also, they can form when plates subduct.

OMG I almost forgot something subducting means to go under each other.




Hey did you ever know that there could be volcanoes under water . THAT IS KINDA COOL.

There is a volcanoe under water in Iceland .





Another fact is the biggest volcanoe was 600km 373 miles wide,and 13 miles high.


Well that is really all the time that we have .

DESERAGATION!!!!

Hey this is Sydni and I'm going to talk about deseragation. Today, I have lots of things to talk about today so lets get started. One more thing before we get stared do you know anything about desegregation ?

Voting!!

Back then white people tried to stop African Americans from voting but  African americans did not think that was fair at all. They tried to stop but it did not work. Also if African Americans tried to vote they  would get attacked .Another thing white people would do is they would threaten  African Americans .

Transportation!!!

Let's talk about how they got around . They road on busses but African America's had  to sit in the back with no servives ,but white people got sit in the front with excellent services.

Education


Black's and whites could not go to school toghther they had to go to diffrent schools , but white children had better things then African Americans Also white people had a better education than African Americans. I personaly don't think that is fair that white people had more freedom than black's .



Seperate was not equal!!!



People could not drink out of the same water fountain or they could not go to the same resturant , but of course white's resturants were better than African Americans. Well here is a picuture of  the diffrent water fountains.

PlessyVS. Ferguson.


Well this was a fight between Plessy and Ferguson. Plessy sued Ferguson becuase Plessy did not think desergation was right ,and I agree with Plessy. Also, Plessy got arrested for siting in a car for white people. So that is why Plessy sued Ferguson. Another thing is that Plessy really wanted to stop sergation,but Ferguson thought it was fair,and this fight went on for a couple of months. More people were trying to stop it.Well I just went on a field so I have to talk a little about that.


What I learned on my field trip!!!!

I just went to the Alanta History. I learned that if you were a soldier you did not have lot's of supply's Also if they got hurt they had field hospitals. Another thing I learned is that they had to sleep outside,and there were bugs ,and stuff. We'll let's move on !

What I liked and I didn't like!!!!


I liked the game, and how we watched  the little show.  I learned alot. What I did not like was when we had to crack the code. That part was not has fun ,but over all it was fun!!

What I  think about desergation.

I think desergation is not right. Also, I think white people and black people should be treated the same way. I dont think white people should have better things then black people. All  people should be treated the same way...........

EARTHQUAKE'S

Hey this is Sydni I'm going to talk about earthquakes today. Let"s get started. Do you know anything about earthquakes if you do great if you don't it is okay.

First, I'm going talk about the focus. The focus is were energy is released during a earthquake. Next I'm going to talk about a rector scale. A Rector scale is something that scientist use to see how much energy was released during an earthquake. Let's  talk about the epicenter. The epicenter is on the earth's surface. Next I'm going to talk  about the fault. The fault is a break in the earth's crust.



How does the movement of plates effect the strenth of earthquakes ?

Well they can bump into each other so they can either bump into to each other hard or soft. If they hit hard most likely it's going to be a big earthquake if it hit's softly it will not cuase as much damage. One more thing before we move on! Please look at the picture below.

What causes a earthquake?

The thing that causes a earthquake is when 2 or more boundaries meet. Also there could be a fault in the earth so that can also cause a earthquake. Also there are there are 3 movements. The three movements are collide, slide pass each other,and the last one is pulling apart from each other.Here is a picuture of the three movements . Another thing is if it rubs aggasint each other that can also cause a earthquake.
